Course overview
This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Educators use a range of well-developed skills and knowledge using discretion and judgment when carrying out their work in the context of established policies and procedures. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be on-site.

Work placement
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 160 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.

Entry requirements
You need to satisfy all of the following entry requirements to be considered for entry into this qualification.
To enrol into this course with ACME International College, international students, applying either off-shore or on-shore, must satisfy one of the following requirements:

Either a minimum IELTS test score of 5.5 or equivalent for direct entry into a VET course;
OR, IELTS score of 5 or equivalent with an ELICOS Course ( up to 10 weeks) to be taken before the main VET course.
OR, IELTS score of 4.5 or equivalent with an ELICOS course (up to 20 weeks) to be taken before the main VET course.
* Results more than two years are not acceptable.
- Evidence that they have studied in English for at least five years in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States.
- Evidence that, within two years of their application date, they have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification, from the Australian Qualifications Framework.
- For students from Assessment Levels 1 and 2 only, successful completion of ACME International College’s Language and Numeracy Test conducted on ACME International College’s premises.

Prospective ACME International College international students are required to demonstrate their capacity to complete the course successfully.
International students applying for Certificate III level either off-shore or on-shore will need satisfactory completion of Australian year 12 or equivalent.
In Certificate III in Early childhood education and care work placement is one of the essential components so to fulfil the requirements of work placement students’ needs to get working with children check/working with vulnerable people check before starting their work placement. To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 160 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care services in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Before going for the work placement students will have enough knowledge and skills required for the work placement while completing assignments on simulated environment.
International students must be 18 years of age or above at the time of their course commencement at the Institute.
All student enrolling into Certificate III programs must have basic computer skills.
